Sorry had to be the most boring announcing video's ever. I think I heard Loeb's name mentioned more than a NASCAR product. Would have enjoyed it if it had been an in-car video.

History has repeated itself. I have a feeling this record will stand for a very long time

Here is the first time Peugeot went out and set the record.

I don't know why it won't embed, I've tried 6 times now and it just gives me a blank area where the viewer should be.

Ari Vatanen was one hell of a driver. Hopefully Peugeot will produce another video similar to this one with Loeb's run.

The 205 T16 looks better than the new one. I have to say I have a soft spot for the 505. My parents had a '81 505 turbo diesel. Solid cars, I'd be down to see what could be done with one of the late v6 models. Didn't they have like 200 hp or something?

yeah the late 87-89 v6's produced 180hp, they were the PRV's.
if you have a soft spot for 505's, ill be sure to post some pics of my peugeot after oliver's done with it!

Funny some of you guys are into 505's. My dad still has three of them, his fav an '86 505 TD sport model (STI perhaps??) and he has a sedan and station wagon 504. All manuals lol

On breaking Loeb's record, its gonna happen prob as early as next year. However I have a big safety issue with the course now that its all asphalt. Someone is gonna get hurt (racer or spectator) pretty badly I think. The speeds are insane now, with the dirt and asphalt mixed it just seemed a more careful balanced attacked that helped keep overall speeds down.

5 minutes is what ten minutes was 10 years ago.

Wish they would have left it dirt. Made it more of a challenge.

I drove up it a few years ago. I can't believe the brass balls these guys have to have to run 120-145mph up that mountain.

Removing the dirt also sped up the times. No longer a traction differential so run on style vs a combo and same for the suspension. Wonder how the old Audi or Peugeot models would do now vs today version.

that would be awesome to see an old school vs. new school shootout!
