    Because it was easier to have him killed and collect insurance money than to just divorce him... Plus she didn't want his family to be upset with her.

That being said, the average housewife can't go about hiring a hitman without raising some suspicion, that's why they always get set up in a sting. It's the people 'in the business' that have the connects to real pros who will not fuck it up and not get caught.
