2 Brothers killed at Golden Corral

This just happened in the town I live in. The local media has been deleting comments and has not released all of the information. There are witnesses that mention the argument started due to a "Free Zimmerman" sticker in the back of the victims car. REALLY?

The search for a killer intensifies as a Westside family tries to come to terms with the loss of not one, but two of their sons.

No, wasn't laughing at two people being killed. The circumstance behind it was so ridiculous it's almost laughable, the reason and location paint a picture in my mind of the sort of people involved. However, my short comment with no explanation was in bad taste and I apologize for that.

I thought it seemed out of character.

I too apologize for the harsh response. (Deleted)

This is pretty messed up if the sticker comment is true. It seems there is a good chance of the whole sticker part being false.

No offense taken, I edited my first comment as well.

I hope the sticker part is false...but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

As someone who spent 20+ years working in newsrooms, it's truly odd there's no description of the suspect in the article. I don't know the facts in this case, but a typical lead graf on a story like this would read something along the lines of "Police are seeking a (man/woman) described as ... in connection with the shooting deaths of two brothers ..." Instead, the reader is taken through a high degree of contortion in the presentation of the story to deflect interest in the suspect. Nothing in that story is by accident.

Probably won't happen, but that station's news director needs to find a new line of work. Journalism used to be about the coherent, dispassionate presentation of clearly attributable fact, not promotion of any political agenda (on either side of the fence). Sad to say., I used to be proud I worked in media ...

Meanwhile, kudos to Nick S and Poorboyz. We all say stupid things we wish we could take back. It was a small thing but both of you showed character.

If you notice, the article states the mother is awaiting the Police releasing the description of the car and the driver. (But, you can assume the lack of release is likely to be an attempt at prevention of stoking a fire...)

While investigators believe the Bohannon brothers knew the person who shot them, their family is pushing for the vehicle and suspect description be made public so they can get justice for their sons.
