Sorry man, "cool" isn't a fact. It's just someone's opinion, you can't really tell someone they're wrong for thinking a car is cool. That's like telling someone what they're eating isn't, in fact, delicious.

Here are a few that were produced around that time.

Last production year, but it's 1977...

        How is this not cool?

        This one is a 77...

We can see a reoccurring theme with 1977 and being flashy...

Edit: All of them are even rear drive, score!

Ok, you got me. I totally forgot the Montreal was produced till '77. The Mazda and Toyota are kinda cool as well. The Lotus, well, they tend to set themselves on fire. Still, I'd be down to give one of the late Esprits with the V8 a spin. (I think those are also prone to setting themselves on fire as well, but perhaps they just suffer from Lucas electrics...) Too bad they all have to pass smog here in California

1988 - favorite would be an e30 of course so see sig!
But mine is an '89... It would be awesome to have one with a build date of September 1988. If anyone has one for sale let me know!

                        This.

I didn't throw up the Can-Am for speed or agility points. It was big fat heavy and slow.

That said, still a cool car in my book. Only ever seen one in person. The car's story counts.

Let's be honest, anyone who was ever cool died young in a burning Esprit.

Damnit they didn't make one that year. And I don't think the GNX was in production back then either.

                                Turbo Porsche I guess
No, they didn't make a GN in 83 but they did make a T-type turbo. We auctioned one off last year at our car show. One owner,80k well optioned including a very rare factory moon roof. I really wanted to keep it for myself.

                                But I'm 1962 so I like this
