Where to buy cheap smokes in the North East?

I have a buddy going from Halifax, NS to Boston tomorrow and I want him to pick up a few packs of Marlboro Reds. Want to know which state has the best prices, lowest tax, etc. to get them from?

Maybe now we do, but I miss the days of driving to tax free delware for $20 cartons. Crossing state lines with 15-20 cartons of smokes was always made me feel like a moonshine bootlegger!!

duty free on the way back assuming that he is flying. a year ago, i bought a brick of marlboro reds for a buddy of mine. with employee discount, the total was 108.00. i don't know what it costs now, but i doubt it has gone up too much. since i'm not a smoker, i don't know how many packs of cigarettes are in a brick but i think it is 6 cartons or 60 packs.

in fact, the next time i go to halifax, i will send you a pm. when the time comes, i will pick one up for you if you want.

I do it every once in a while. I know it's not good for me, but I keep it pretty low key. I think I do more damage drinking 4 nights a week than I do smoking a pack every week and a half. But I honestly do appreciate and agree with your concerns.

Also, buddy is driving down. I don't smoke enough to warrant getting a whole lot, unless I get them cheap, can always share them with friends when drinking.

I'm not trying to get on your case, I'm really not, but doing something else which is more damaging isn't great justification. Also, sharing something unhealthy with friends doesn't seem like a friendly thing to do...

I'm only chiming in because I've seen too many friends start this way.

Nope, I smoke when I feel like it, I don't when I don't want to. Marlboro cigarettes just aren't the same here as the real ones you guys get and I enjoy them. My friend was going down so I wanted him to pick up a couple packs and I wanted to get the best value for what I feel like spending.
