I am VERY excited to offer my work to a fellow artist, Tyler Coey. Being a HUGE fan of his work, I am honored at his to request, one of my copper buckles.

Hand formed on an anvil, even the buckle tongue is rolled with a hammer and folded without a seam. Features a copper end keeper too. The leather is 14oz vegtanned, it is heated then PACKED with my own blend of wax/oils. I have a method for speeding up the natural patina of the leather. This is roughly 6 months wear, took a solid hour on the aging alone. Worth it!




Below is a picture from my IG, it shows where it was gutted at the end to keep the buckle from biting. The buckle was also relieved for the tongue to recess.

The skin is smooth, like glass beads or something. Sean said that he could hardly notice it on.

The stingray is wrapped around a 2oz layer of vegtanned for added ridged form.
Then hand stitched with white thread that was dyed black.

I misread that, my bad, the buckles are polished smooth after all the hammering and grinding. They are very, heavy duty! Copper is a soft metal but the buckles are nice and thick. I have been using mine for over a month with zero faults.

Not into belts? how about suspenders? Conway buckle adjustment, copper rivet fasteners, button attachment and folded stitching on the button straps.
