The R3v Golfer thread

Yes golf requires goofy pants and a fat ass. That being said, I aspire to own only the goofiest pants and achieve the fattest ass possible.

All joking aside, who else here plays golf? There are threads for a wide array of hobbies aside from cars, so why not make one for golf. Share your triumphant shots, tales of drunken golf cart debauchery, or just general golf B.S.

I'll start.

My grandpa taught me the game, he has since passed away and I love playing and remembering him. I also enjoy killing some beers, golf cart 180s, and occasionally hitting an awesome shot.

Last week and I sunk and eagle on a par 4 from 70 out.....celebration and heavy drinking ensued and I walked away 12 over, but no fucks were given.

I didn't care for golf until about 1999 when I got out of college and started working for Arnold Palmer. I couldn't help but start liking the game. We played 2-3 times per week and about 4 times per year we played with Mr. Palmer.

I have played since I could stand. My dad used to be a professional golf instructor so naturally, my brother and I got taught. I have a good swing but have never taken the game seriously enough to be good.

I have always wanted to go try harder and get lessons (from my father) but never got around to it. Didn't help when someone broke into our house and my clubs were one of the things stolen... Maybe I will pick it up again soon.
