Anyone have American Express CC cards?

Which card do you have and how was it beneficial (or not)? Did you use any of the perks/reward programs?

Looking for some feedback if any.

i have one for the shop, as long as you can pay every month you are good. Reward points are great too considering what we rack up in parts a year

Its great for purchasing things like electronics. My mate just got his 27inch iMac repaired (logic board) after his apple care ran out because he purchased it with his AMEX and they give a year warranty after the factory one runs out. So basically if you purchase an iPhone with one, its covered for 2 years.

I've been thinking about getting one as well.

Had the Costco one too. Don't really spend enough to really care about rewards. I like that some stores won't take any CCs but they will take Amex. But too few stores do that to even make it a real selling point. I'd rather get a Visa with a nice APR and use that at the billions of places that accepts it.

Oh yea, just saw someone else mention the warranty thing, they have good rental car insurance perks too. No need for a centurion card or anything, I think any Amex provides the basics and you can upgrade to premium rental insurance.
