    RIP Cal Worthington

if you lived in SoCal during the 70's and 80's Cal Worthington was seen pitching cars in very amusing ways on TV every day. He even stood on his head to sell detroit iron.

lately seen in commercials looking very near the end of the road.

childhood memories- you will be missed, Cal. and your 'dog' Spot.

Damn, I remember his more recent commercials from the 90s.

Go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal!

I was going to post this - but thought I might be the only one who knew who he was!

My mom bought a car from him back in the late 60's. He was busted dozen of times rolling back odometers - or so that was always the rumor about him.

He has dealerships all along the west coast, and even into Phoenix. Alaska too.

i always thought it was intriguing that he never owned a car during his career as a salesman, instead he borrowed one for sale from his dealerships. he also hated selling cars lol. would have been cool to see what would have happened if he pursued aviation after the war.
