I also grew up around domestics. My grandpa has a 1970 440 4 speed barracuda, my uncle has a 502 BB camaro. ect ect ect.. I watched/helped them work on their cars. Thoes cars are responsible for getting turning me into a car nut. I really wanted to get a 65 mustang coupe as my first car but I ended up getting my E46 wagon. After driving it around for a while Im now a BMW freak all the way. Would I still take a 1969 L78 396 Camaro? HELL YES! who wouldnt? I have an apreciation for European cars, domestics, and tuners. Honda S2000 for example, little 4 cylinder that revs to like 9 grand and makes 240 hp!!! Who wouldnt love that?
heck, I even love trucks!= Heidi 1988 325 -> 335i. 7200rpm built M30Comment

Discrimination is part of the human condition. I don't car much for most modern domestics, but if someone else connects with them, then whatever.1991 325i - "Scambles" The Daily Driven lightly modded.

Look how much hat Honda gets on these forums. Honestly I don't understand why.
Sure, there are a bunch of people out there who rice them out. But go to your local track day and look for some of the most winning and most competitive cars. Yep you guessed it, probably a Honda.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. Over engineered S50b30 murica BBQ swap in progress.

This is a good thread to point out something. This maybe a forum dedicated to BMW e30's, but if you start to look around you'll find many others like different cars and come from different car backgrounds. Most of us are here for the love of the e30. There are some that don't even own one anymore, but still stick around. That's myself included. People may not like what others like. Like Mike pointed out, he dont like Fords. Or VWs. He wasn't an asshole about it. Just stating his opinion. I'll toss out I don't like most Ford's, watercooled VW's, 98% of four door cars, Mercedes Benz, stance cars, and the list can go on. Does that not make us enthusiasts about cars? Because we don't like certain ones? That's like saying someone don't like ice cream cause they only like vanilla and not chocolate...

Well said.
For me it boils down to self confidence. Usually the ones that are the loudest in their hate or offended-ness about others are the ones least secure in their own choices.Comment

Perhaps a review from a few weeks ago is in order. Some seem to have forgot what was posted.

If you were to some up the article in a few words you could say Non Stance Owners: y u so madbro.
Who was the first one to open up the hate fest? Or do you want to go back and change the posts? Essentially the article is stating in different and a longer more round about way the post you just made in the one I first quoted.Comment
