Hey you mac users.

I am looking for a program that can change icons in OS X. I've tried the trial of CandyBar, but before paying for it, I want to make sure that there isn't any freeware that can do that same thing.

What other programs do you have to do nifty things? All that I really use besides the standard apps are Quicksilver, Adium, Thunderbird, Azureus, and Photshop. I used to have so many nifty programs for my pc, I just wanted to know if that kind of stuff existed for mac.

Search around Version Tracker for something like that. I think CandyBar does the best job at it, but how much does it cost for the full use of it?

Only $13, but I would consider laying down another $19 for their icon management software, like iphoto for icons.

Have you tried shapeshifter? Also not free, but changes icons and lots of other stuff.

What kind of nifty programs are you looking for? I'm full of mac stuff - it's what I do for a living.

Do a google for "Serialbox"...

Or SerialSeeker, thats how I get Candybar to work, you just can never upgrade the version because it's only good up to v2.5.

Only problem with using serial box and the like is that you can't always use the latest version and it can be hard to find an older installer for what you want.

I actually just ended up buying a registration code for CandyBar, because otherwise I would have to go through a hassle if I ever had to upgrade it.

Also, what do you all use for Bittorrent? Azurues rapes my computer, and they don't make utorrent for mac yet...
