Looks like it fits well on your torso, also fits at the correct height in the pants. Just kinda baggy on the arms/shoulder width.

Is there a way to get better pictures from a camera instead of a cell phone?

I can get a better pic after this weekend. It does look baggy for this photo and perhaps its not body tight but its actually a really good size for the shoulders. I have ultra wide shoulders so it allows me a full range of motion while still having a 'tight' fit. Thanks for your input, it's like getting a professional opinion.

Nothing worse then a coat that's looks good, but is too tight and restricts motion.

This had urged me to get a pea coat for thia winter.

It just looks REALLY spaced in the cuff to upper arm area. It is just odd because of how nice it looks to fit in the torso. And the generated 'image' media pushes is not always right. If you are happy that is all that matters.

Remember that a pea coat is not really designed for a ton of movement in the fashion standpoint. Think of it like a second skin, about .5-1" width on each side of you. Not an hourglass shape that is more typically a female fitment. think of a more straight with a bit of flare at the hips. High in the arm pits to make it less baggy and give more movement.

When I help friends get fitted for one, it is always explained like a second skin. It also boils down to your style. Are you a sweater guy or a button up with a crisp tie? If the latter you want it tighter. Foremost a bit more room for the extra layers.

I personally think these jackets look amazing with a white shirt and a bright contrast tie. Finished with some dark jeans or a pair of Chinos in a chocolate hue and leather wingtips or boots. IMO the jacket is perfect to dress up casual jeans or chinos. I know a lot of fashion icons like GQ/Jcrew are finishing them with sneakers. IMO this looks bad, wingtips with a rough finish or some desert boots is the way to go. Pea coats are not a flannel and work boot jacket. That style is better with a denim jacket or barn jacket.

Get two pictures in daylight. One with a sweater and one with a button up shirt(don't wear a tshirt under it*big no no). One with arms at a relaxed by your waist and the other outstretched sideways to see how it fits in your arm area.

It is better to sell it then look meh. Jcrew is one of the best priced all wool Pea coats out there. It is fitted and high in the arm pits. People can knock Jcrew all they want, but their clothes fit amazing for average-tall built men. The cuts are always amazing and the price is steller.

Calvin Klein also makes a great pea coat/suit. Same fitment like Jcrew, but a higher cost.

Here is what you are looking for. Nice width in the chest, then slims out for the torso and a TINY bit of flare for the hips. You will notice the proper waist height against the bright blue jeans(not picked for them, just so you can see).

I noticed you like a popped collar, try to roll the collar down at the back of the neck. Still looks popped but less Dbag :) IMO this fitment is PERFECT, it gives a nice detail to you and still remains masculine. I am not into that skinny jean and tight jacket look. Way too suffocating, granted I own a borderline slim fit pair of denim. But they still allow full range of movement.

For jeans with this jacket, I think slim fit with a normal rise front is perfect. Low rise would mess with the jackets placement look and show a belt when buttoned. I am not pushing denim brands, but Gustin makes some of the most amazing denim I have ever worn. Granted I have never paid 300+ for jeans, so I do not know for those higher end makers.

Shop American made menswear at wholesale prices. We make selvedge denim jeans, button downs and jackets using the highest quality fabrics available.

^That link gets you 20.00 off your total first purchase. I think the Postal 2 or American classic would be perfect contrast to a black jacket. Finish it off with a crisp white shirt with a wide spread collar or a casual blue/grey chambray.
