              You sure they were FWD? Are you joking? They show the rear wheels spinning, but the background wasn't moving.

              Why would they make a fwd e30? I looked up parts on real oem for a euro 320is, it shows a regular rwd transmission.

                The 320iS? No no no. They were RWD, just like all other BMW's (with the exception of AWD). The new Mini is the first car ever produced by BMW with FWD.

                          sorry. i'd bet at that time (mid 80s) that people knew probably knew bmw for motorcycles as much as cars.
