Just got offered a seasonal job by my friend, who happens to know the CEO of a local shuttle company.
With the Sundance Film Festival just around the corner, I've been told this is a great opportunity to make some good money throughout the ski season.
They sent me an email saying that if I accepted the position, I would be driving a 2014 Acura MDX (this shuttle company has a partnership with Acura and the Sundance Institute) and driving clients including perhaps celebrities
Has anyone heard or used the Uber app to request shuttle service? Can anyone share their experience?
From their website
"What is Uber?
Uber is a technology company that has developed a software that allows anyone to request a ride via mobile app, text message, or the web. Drivers arrive curbside in just minutes, you can track the arrival of your ride, you'll receive a text message when your driver arrives, the credit card on file is charged after your ride, and you will receive an email receipt detailing your trip.
For users, we push the limits of the transportation industry to create a simple, more efficient, and more enjoyable car service experience. For drivers, Uber is a revenue stream, allowing professional drivers to make more money by turning downtime into profits."
