So I was talking to my dad the other day about snub nose revolvers, and I mentioned to him that I was in the market for one.

He sent me a text today, looks like I'm getting a late Christmas present.

Ruger SP101 .357 Magnum. I cannot wait to pick it up.

Looking at this year, it was probably the best Christmas I've had in years, not because of what I got but because I truly enjoyed the time with my family and spent some time with the lady friends family who is all really cool.

But I did get a pretty decent haul of gifts despite only asking for sheets and socks.

    -ipad mini
    - a chunk of the Tunguska meteor
    -flannel sheets
    - $300
    - skullcandy ear buds
    - (3) Hot wheels E30 M3's, lol
    - pair of Levi's
    - nice button up shirt
    - 3 good pairs of socks
    - tons of candy and treats
    - AAA membership (gma has got me this since I started driving)
    - Nice LED flashlight
    - DC jacket
and some other random stuff. Christmas was good this year.

It is definitely going to take some practice. I've been welding for about 10 years. There is always something to learn. Once you learn the basics of setting wire speed and heat level you start figuring things out. Starting out on body panels is probably not a good idea. But I started welding on auto body class and started on random bits of metal around the shop. And eventually started on to body panels and so on. I suggest getting a thicker piece of metal to practice with. And practiced for a good bit till you get it figured out. I recommend watching tutorial videos!

A quiet day at home with family. Would have preferred all of my family been here but that was not possible.

You can't rely on her to help you with anything, and you can't rely on her to be there when you need her, which I found out the hard way.

I could go into the details of why the things I got were completely thoughtless, but I'm not really feeling the need to explain myself since I doubt it'll chance anyones mind.
Dude, I grew up with kids like you. Deal with it. The only person you can change is yourself, and it sounds like you've got a lot of work to do. If you hate all those other gifts give them to Goodwill so someone can use/enjoy them. That's a good start.

The best part about Christmas is ALWAYS the people you spend it with. Luckily for me I have an awesome family so I've got no complaints. This was a good year of gift receiving AND giving. It feels good to be able to give my family and close friends nice things. I've been fortunate my whole life to have some pretty awesome Christmases.

    This year's goods:
    Electric Sunglasses
    Blue Samsung Galaxy S4
    Snap-On shop stool
Alpine head unit for the 323
    Tons of gift cards
    2 Dickies jackets
    A few t-shirts
    Fancy space heater
    Couple other little things
