Remote control is just that, a way to control remotely ;)
Some of us might remember when "clickers" really were clickers. They let out a tone that the TV recognized, or you had a box with a long wire that ran to the cable box with heavily pushed buttons that "clicked" - OH WAIT, what was cable, we just had tin foil on the top of our TV's, Atari was cutting edge and beta-max cassette players had wood grain exteriors :(Leave a comment:

I call roundabouts "roundy rounds," so there!
I've never called it "soda," who calls it that???
