Living in beer mecca, I'm disappointed if there isn't at least 5 craft brews on tap everywhere I go. I live 1/4 mile away from a car wash that has a growler fill station with 15 taps. We have a cycle pub that you can rent and ride around town while drinking a keg of your favorite beer.

        I love this place.

We have lots of great local breweries, Four Peaks being the best in my opinion. I wish we had a growler fill station!! That would be a great side business within your business

a buddy from highschool recently raised 20k on kickstarter to start up his brewery. I wish him the best of luck but i dont buy that you can do a good brewery with only 20k. I researched and my number was much much much much higher

That is just one of several growler fill stations here. One place has over 50 taps. Lots of small 5-10 tap places popping up in places too like grocery stores and such.

May get you ingredients and rental of someone else's brewing and bottling equipment for a few batches.

Exactly. He has a warehouse he's renting. Rent alone will eat that 20k rather quickly

I think the best way to start a brewery, and how most do it, is to get 5 good, good, beers out of your garage or wherever. Then go market them to places like nitro is talking about and small bars that do the local brew thing. Hell even Whole foods since they are super into beer nights now

Then once your name is out there in the public. Then you set up big time and go from there

That's really sweet! Maybe we have them, I haven't seen or heard of any though. My buddy that lives in Memphis was just telling me lots are popping up over there

They have that in Lawrence, KS too. Pretty awesome idea.

my roommate has all the micro brew shit and does it every once in awhile but it sucks. I told him I'm going to make moonshine and rum since we have all the equipment to do it.

That just means your roommate is bad at making beer, not that craft beer "sucks".

Vodka people! Perhaps I'm one. As a polak, I can only find 2 vodkas that are actually decent here and they're usually only found at bevmos. One is, over here, an obscure polish named zubrowka and the other is tanqueray lol.

I love how hipster brews and bars are mostly just in North Park in San Diego. Great craft beer everywhere with the pretentiousness in one small area.
