If you had to think over your life and what you have done, what would be the greatest accomplishment?
IE: making a family, job, project, skill etc what would it be? It really makes you think of what kind of person you are and who you want to better or become.
I feel for myself; teaching myself how to build a car from the ground up is mine. It was a goal I did not fully understand, when I bought the rolling shell. It has taught me so many skills and to not see things for what they are on paper, but for what I can MAKE them. It really motivated me to better myself as a person and to gain confidence of my rough childhood. It is so rewarding to receive a PM or a random post, that my build inspired another. I grew up around the dragstrip with my Uncle's Nova and attending MANY hot rod meets with my dad. I always dreamed of one day building something of my own.
I look at the car not as a car, I see it as a milestone, that I set and overcame. It was lofty and it challenged me the whole way, I overcame the failures and learned/carried on. In the end it made me who I am today, not sure where I will be in the future but I know I will have grease on my arms and a wrench in my hand.
