I got the main base piece, in natural color. I may have to go look for something in dark wood, to make it more modern and appealing to the wifey., thanks dude.
no prob, they've got all sorts of funky colors at at ikea for those pieces, last time i went i think i saw even red and blue
its a combination of things, the bottom 4x4 boxes is the Expedit book shelf (which fits vinyl PERFECTLY btw), the top is a vika amon table top, a shelf on top of that for the lap top etc, and various metal poles for the monitors/shelf feet. the LEDs are from Ikea too
got the idea over on the DJforums way back, bunch of guys have gone this route, lots of flexibility with building it to your needs, i think all in it prob cost me about 250-300 or so with everything, maybe less, can't recall exactly

I found a dude on (Instagram?) once.and I can't seem to find him anymore. He did a crazy service to MK1200s, including reverse button LED light and gold plating. He is out of new york that's all I can remember but, the things he did blew my mind.
Good shit bro, btw, who makes this table? It's awesome. I think if I buy one of those, I can have a play room again. ;)
Ikea :)

ah the hell with it, may as well post my setup and some mixes. I've been out of the game for a while now, honestly just kind of burnt myself out on it, but this is my home setup I mess around on once in a while
and heres with the lights off, changes colors too
While I'm at it I s'pose I'll share with you three of my favorite mixes. These are prob the best I ever did, all on the setup you see above. Ha man, you know it was fun making mixes, but at the same time I DESPISED doing it, b/c once you fuck up, you had to start ALL over again. none of my mixes were ever perfect, as I was never really all that great at beat matching, but I always liked to think I made up for that in track selection.
Heres my best Big Beat/house mix, very Fatboy Slim like, the man is the whole reason I got into DJing in the first place (yes thats him in my avatar)
and heres two of my best liquid dNb mixes, inspirations from london elektricity (aka the founder of hospital records) high contrast, brookes brothers etc
Holy fuck that sucks. Id be devisated if i lost my music.
Im down whenever you wanna sell :) Let me know! Im always in the 213 so i can even pick these up.
I like Trance and hardhouse but if its a good track ill buy it.
Sounds like a plan but, I'm in the 310 all day, not like it's far ;)
Btw, this was my final set up Denon 3500 & some cheapy Rane 2 channel mixer. I always loved the battles too.
yes battle position...goes to show how long I haven't really seriously messed with vinyl up until lately.
AND, I was thinking of Pioneer CDJ-800's....back in the day these things were upwards to like 1200$ a piece...you can get both now for like $500 on ebay now apparently.
the DJM800 is pretty much the industry standard mixer I was used to at clubs and bars.
so nice to work with.
I knew what u was referring too :)
Have you seen the New DJM 2K? THATS MENTAL. You can create your own tracks on that mixer.
Ive spent alot of time on the djm 800 and i think its the best mixer ever created, four channels is all you really need, and it has anything filter related you could ever ask for. I call the 800 "sasha" My friend was gonna get a pair of MK1 CDJ1K for $1000 i TOLD HIM HELL NO Runaway you can get MK3 for that price.
Kids today need to understand what its like carrying 200 records with you to a show, and then lug both your turntables,AND then do it again when you leave.
It takes a Certain person to really understand what we had here.
I spoke with alex gold last week and He tells me how the scene has really changed over the last 10 years. Im only 26 but ive been following the life since i was 4.
BTW Lost-Soul...join the DJtechtools forums...lots of people there sell there gear for CRAZY cheap (typically when a new semester starts, or rents due lol)
I've scored so much for a fraction of the cost.
Markup on brand new DJ gear is just mental

Btw looking at that pic is a little surreal as it looks exactly like the setup in my sons room!
He gets to play with only *some* vinyl.
How do you spin with the tone arms so far away?
