    Designing an app

    Hey guys,
I know one member here has developed a dating app around a year ago. has anyone else here had experience developing an app? What are some good sources to read up on, and what are some of the steps I should take?

I have a really innovative, neat idea that isn't entirely too difficult but I have zero coding experience so I would have form a small team to get it rolling, but I have no clue how to even begin.

That was me. We used Elance and Freelancer to find a developer. Ended up going through three indian devlopers until finally finding someone in the US. It's more expensive, but an incredibly more refined product.

My experience with India developers have been that they never say no, don't test sufficiently, and always over promise.

PM me the idea, I'll tell you how I'll execute it. ;)

My company, Schedule Arts, uses a Development team in Budapest who does great work for web app development but we're probably going to use a US team for our mobile apps & app server. Definitely worth the extra cost.

For your app you'll not only need a developer but also a designer, preferably someone with good UX experience.

Completely agree, don't waste your time with Indian developers for anything other than a basic HTML site.

Working on bringing a mobile banking app to the CU I work for. We're relying on a third party, but if you have any specific questions feel free to PM.
