Also, remember this is a dgaf kind of car. Its primary purpose is to get me to and from work while saving gas money and putting a grin on my face.

LSD, no LSD, rust, or no rust. I don't care much either way.

What I am enjoying is what my buddy told me. These old Hondas are like Lego's, tons of parts and very cheap to go fast. Then if I break it, its only going to be down for a weekend because an engine is only a junkyard trip away and a day to swap it out.

But yes, I have been eyeballing different things that I will throw at it.

The car will stay ugly, but it will not drive that way. My only real requirement. If I stumble upon an LSD trans for cheap, so be it. But I'm not going to go out of my way to find any particular part for this car, and I won't spend much money on it either.

Hell I'm curious myself as to where this will end up.

One things for sure, next step is a new steering rack and change out all the front bushings. I'm glad I kept my OTC master ball joint set from my wrench turning days.

Nothing like smile caused by a car that makes you happy man lol

        What's wrong with the rack?

End bushing is shot. I might just get the bushing but the rack itself looks pretty beat up on the end. Like someone clobbered it with a hammer. If I can find one cheap I'll just change the whole thing.

That said, the end bushing is only $10 and can be replaced.

Why don't you try the bushing then? Though a rack at a junkyard won't be a great deal more expensive. I love that manual rack, except for when I was parallel parking, I live in NYC

Either way it will be a manual rack. Only time I get annoyed is in the morning when I have a cup of coffee in one hand and turning the wheel with the other while sitting still.

I probably will just go with the bushing. I already have one inner tie rod waiting to go on anyway. All the other tie rods are surprisingly tight.

Going to take care of that and all the bushings in a few weeks when I have a Saturday free of other plans.

Well I finally got sick of my leaky exhaust.

So I purchased the cheapest b18 4-1 header, test pipe, and cat back I could find. Spent $200 including shipping. Considering I should be able to get $100 of it back by selling the stock cat, not a bad deal IMO.

                Hurray for beaters!

In other news, found out this thing holds its own against a newer 2.0t Sonata. Hell I would have been happy if it held its own against a smart car, so I'll take it!

I have a new found hate for Honda's. Picked up an Accord couple months ago as a daily, did the 100k service and the next week it started breaking. First the trans started acting up slipping into 2nd. Then the EGR port clogged. Then to finish it off, it is now getting low oil pressure at the VTEC unit so I have a 3800 RPM revlimiter. Try passing somebody with that. I was always told they were good cars....pfft.

Sound like you bought a 2000 Honda accord. These generation accord have problem with their automatic transmission. My dad has one and it is shit.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here

Yea, Honda's aren't known for their automatic reliability.

Well the car is currently of craigslist since I bought the Miata.

That said, if I don't get my asking price I'm going to keep it. We're looking to buy a house next year and I'd love to have a decent car to turn into a race car.... (A garage is one of my requirements)
