Bus drives really nicely, which is a relief. Easy to just hangout enjoy the scenery through the giant windshield. It will cruise at 70 pretty easily but the fuel economy just drops wayyy down. If I keep it between 50-55 it does surprisingly well

We finally made it! We stayed in the keys last night, and are now parked in Vedubin's lot right on Miami Beach! Loving the bus so far, and having the motorcycle along makes exploring so fun. Ill post photos if I can figure out how from my phone

Man that would be so nice to have a place to park, thanks so much for the offer! Definitely going to get in touch when we are heading that way

Good advice, I'm on the hunt now

Well I am still in Mount Dora, FL waiting for a water pump. We were supposed to leave last Saturday, hopefully we get to leave this Friday or Saturday. Our schedule is flexible so its not too bad, but it has kind of screwed up the first couple weeks of plans.
Since I've been here for a few more days than planned my old boss had me come back to work running the 980K in the pit. I forget how fun it can be to run heavy equipment when you don't have to do it 50-60 hrs a week.

Also, since I had a little more time before leaving than I thought, I went out and picked up a sweet little dual sport to haul behind the bus. We had this idea a while back but I was running out of time to make it happen. Maybe its a good thing that we have been delayed, now it will be a lot easier to explore the backcountry and small towns where taking the bus is too tight.
The bike is a 2008 Yamaha XT250, all stock and running great. Not real fast but its fine for scooting around the logging roads I plan on checking out, and it sips fuel. I had a local fab shop build a hitch on the back and stuck a rail on it. The shop also added a 2 foot aluminum extension to the ramp since the bus is a bit taller than a lot of trucks. Safe to say I am really excited about this addition. Been awhile since I have had a street legal bike and it sure is fun even if it is small.

Took a few shots this morning parked in the driveway

And here is the carrier setup

Thanks for the tip, we don't have a reason to be there, it was just a good point on the map to show the route. We are hoping to have some input from locals when we get there on places to see and roads to drive on :) and the Cog Railway is definitely on my list!
