Forza 4 Drivers' Challenge #38 - Vintage Racing Big Bore!

Sorry I was pretty absent for the last challenge, I was busy racing the real Cortina! ;D I liked the concept though, so how about we try the big bore guys this week? Since there's plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and it's the next track we'll be visiting, let's head to Indy!

Car: Anything made before 1975 with stock displacement over2.5L

    Track: Indianapolis Grand Prix Course

End Time: 11:59pm PST this Sunday, May 25.

There are a few rules for setup, but it's mostly wide open.

    • Rating cannot exceed B500
    • Must use a full rollcage
    • No tires stickier than Sport
    • May only widen tires by 2 steps
    • Can use any gearbox and gear ratios, but must use stock number of gears
    • No engine swaps, drivetrain swaps, or turbo/supercharger additions
    • Can make any modifications to engine except displacement
    • No aftermarket aero!

Again, input is welcome if something seems off, but don't expect a lot of grip!

I kinda like the vintage theme, any votes on big bore vs. small bore for next week?

I know it's a day late but i thought i would post this here anyway. Posted a 1:47.984 in my corvair. I think it's a pretty decent time for a stock 4 speed [ATTACH]85044[/ATTACH

I think keeping it under 3.0l would keep it competitive. I have a suggestion, winner shares setup?

I think the small bore cars are more fun personally. Easier for my limited abilities to control. I do miss the grippy tires though.

Vintage theme/rules for isn't bad but it would be cool to apply the rules to other time periods. '75 - '85 or something.

I'm happy to share any of my setups, even during the challenge. No secrets here! PM me your setup during a challenge and I'll see if I can give a couple tips.

I like small bore more as well, and not just because of the Cortina ;D The lack of grip is the fun part!

Sounds good to me. I hate to impose, but could you make this week's thread/challenge? I'm working like a madman prepping for Indy and probably won't have a chance to keep up with updates this week.
