Where Can I Buy A Roll of Name Brand Tint?

I guess there's some law or something keeping consumers from buying quality tint. I've been looking for day and I need a roll of ceramic. Any ideas? Why isn't it not readily available?

I Thought They Carried Tint At Almost Any Auto Parts Store?

I was actually trying to get some for my bedroom because my room faces the sun throughout the day and gets really hot. Unfortunately, most tint suppliers will not sell directly to consumers, but there are a couple brands that do sell to diy-ers. Ebay is another option as mentioned above, however, I don't about the authenticity of the product being sold on there.

Couple of things: first, home tint cannot be used in a car, and automotive tint can't be used in a house. You can put auto film on a home window but theres a good chance you break the glass. Auto film absorbs heat where commercial film reflects heat.

Second, if you do ceramic based film, you will lose a bit of cell performance while in the car, especially GPS. If the antenna is in the rear window, you might lose just about all AM and FM. Won't matter on an E30, but does on other cars.

          Closing SOON!

Yes I'm familiar with the poor side effects of ceramic.
It just sucks that I can't go and get quality tint.

                  You call any local shops?

Guys, as an installer I worked with dozens of window tinters, generally they worked side by side with us. Tinters always tried to be near car stereo shops because we always traded clients.

                  Thanks tho...
