            I have a 7 pound picnic shoulder in the oven right now! I'll be bringing tortas to work all week long.

              Sweet. I've found that I can throw the meat in a frying pan and make quick carnitas as well. I guess I'll have to move to the oven once winter comes.

                If you're in college I suggest investing in a crock pot. You can make anything from roasts, stews, pork verde and its basically idiot proof. When I'm not drunk and about to pass out I'll post some recipes.

                  You guys who think that nothing beats a simple steak are missing out.
                  Try making a compound butter to put over the top. It's simple, and delicious
                  * In a mixing bowl, add butter (duh), white wine, shallots, garlic, salt & pepper. Beat the butter until are ingredients are blended well.
                  (If the butter is too hard, you can work it with the palm of your hand (har!) until it softens. don't melt the butter, but you can just leave it out at room temp for a bit)
                  * Get a sheet of waxed paper, place the butter on the paper, then roll the waxed paper up so you have a tube of butter, basically.
                  * Chill the butter until it sets up again. Slice the butter into 1/3rd pieces and place on top of the hot steak.
                  * Win.
