Im going to need a car seat. Have you ever tried buckling some of them up? ridiculous!
anyhoo the one i have expires 2014. why they have an expiration date idk :/

Plastic gets brittle, which is no bueno when your kid is strapped to said plastic. Slightly more important than a door panel.

That car seat is a booster of sorts. You need a real car seat. Rear facing for as long as possible; this position is safest for ride down purposes.

The seat you show is a long way away. Record does make a nice car seat for bigger kids.

For right now you need to look into Graco or Britax.

Best non-Recaro car seats you can find are Britax. We love ours, buckle is way easy to use and has held up really well.

We just had our second a couple months ago, they want you to have your child in a rear facing seat till at least 2 years old now. My first didn't fit in his rear facing seat after 14 months.

The expiration date thing is analogous to revised textbooks. A scam. Britax are built like brick shithouses, but are also really expensive. We have this:

I'd wait until Babies R Us has their 30% trade in deal. We had gifted stroller/carseat combo that was literally falling apart and traded it in. I think we got the whole shooting match for like $260 or so. The jogger is super nice.

the smaller car seats dont need to be stupid expensive since they grow out of them so fast but get a nice booster seat since they are in them for 4yrs +. target for the small one, recaro or something else nice for the booster.

also congrats on the kiddo my first is now 7mo old and i could not be happier!

Oh man, I'm in this like Flynn.

Since the accident we've been borrowing a seat from a friend. Fucking hate it. The latch system sucks. It's hard to get it tight and harder to get the seat out.

Always wanted a Recaro seat like in post #4, but pink, since we have a girl.

Truth, it is not easy to fit a rear facing infant seat in an e30, unless you are 4 foot 7....
