Truth, it is not easy to fit a rear facing infant seat in an e30, unless you are 4 foot 7....

The seats themselves slide into a base from the front.

For an infant, any of the Graco "modular" carrier/car seats will be great, they'll only use them for a short period of time. Then you'll get into the "convertible" rear/front facing seats, they'll be in those for at least 2-3 years. I disagree that Britax is too expensive, the Roundabout G4 is $160 and it's well built. If you can't spend another $40 on a quality seat...well...yeah. Anyway, as mentioned above, some of the cheaper seats are technically just as safe but the latch and tension systems suck, big time.

Rear facing? You know i wonder they they dont make back seats rear facing. Itd be cool and you could potentially save space. Front and rear seats attached
