I have looked but cant find out, if any of the ps2 games that are from other regions can be played on the ps3. I have found a uk an aus released ps2 game that I want to get but unsure if it will work on my ps3. Any one have any info or done this before?

It will not work. US games and non-US games are not compatible with systems from the opposite region. US games are NTSC coded and non-US games are PAL coded. Here's more info:

yup they each have there own region code that has to match so they can play. Now If you wanna get nerdy you can flash you ps2 to not a region code and can plan any and all games. thats alot of work and above my head I tried to do it to my 360 and gave up like 4 years ago
