need help, US Celluar to Verizon phone

After braving many abuse, my galaxy s3 for my verizon plan has stopped being able to charge. I can still charge a battery via another source and switch the battery in but I don't want to keep using my abused, screen crack and otherwise shitty s3. A buddy dropped me by an almost spring clean us cellular phone s3 and it's something I want to use. General consensus from Verizon store is that I'm not going to be able to use this new phone. I need to get in hold of their on phone support still but this is why im asking you guys.

Anyone with any experience with something like this? US cellular is CDMA and 4g lte. Is there some way to make this work?

According to this Wiki page, Verizon and US Cellular use different phones due to using different frequencies for their LTE. So i other words, you would have to change the hardware of the phone to make it work, which really means you need a different phone.

I'm not real knowledgeable with this though, so I could be wrong. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Thanks for finding that thread, I was finding maybes. Well if anyone wants a good shaped s3 it will be in the classifieds soon.
