    Sim racing room

Just finished setting up my new Sim racing room, with two monster rigs for heads-up racing. Very strange experience to be racing someone sitting next to you, on a track in Belgium...

Damn that's gangster! I would love to have a setup like that, but little things like money, space, etc. are kinda in the way. Maybe one day...

Those look like BobEarlRacing gear? I bought from him back in 2008, still have it set up with a Logitech G25. His seats have gotten much nicer now; mine are the fiberglass buckets. Not comfortable, but I suppose they simulate the "race car" feeling.

Now that is cool! Been wanting to do something like this since I was younger, never seen that set up before but the pricing is damn good!

What sim are you running on those? Any videos?!

What's the rough estimate for one of these rigs?

Depends on the actual hardware, though for something better than the plastic wheel and pedal set you can get at Best Buy, high end PC/peripherals and the actual rig itself, plan on spending at least $3k.

Come on over! That’s what I built if for. I’m very happy with the setup. Its something I have been wanting to do since I started sim racing with Race 07 and multiplayer racing. I had a homemade setup in my office, but we had a new space, so I claimed this room to be the Holodeck.

The cockpits are the GTA driving simulators from gtrsimulator.com (without their monitor stand), Fanatec wheels & Fanatec Elite pedals, 3 22” gaming monitors (my rig has 3- 24” 144 Hz ones), triple monitor stands are bolted to the steel cockpit frame. Excluding the PC’s, around $1,000 per cockpit.

I use Game Stock Car Extreme almost exclusively. Physics are the best there is right now, and the modding community has imported almost every major track in the world and some great cars. The 80’s DRM BMW’s are hard to stop playing with.

Hmm..I wonder how this game stacks up to Assetto Corsa?

                            Nice setups!

I just have a Fanatec bundle running on 3 27" monitors. I use iRacing.

I'm not a fan of Assetto Corsa compared to iRacing. I downloaded it, played it for a few days and haven't touched it again.

I had iRacing for sometime but never really got into it. I loved the physics but the game was too expensive and required a lot of dedication. With AC, I got the same physics, albeit not as good a multiplayer, but better graphics and car choices. When was the last time you played AC? They made a lot of changes to the game after the 1.0 update.
