Boo getting up at 2am!
Its that time again, I am off to the races in my kart. Like anybody here cares :) It is off topic though, and I like to let you guys know because you're such nice people. lol :D
Anyhoo, its almost 10pm now, and I have to wake my arse up at 2am, and leave at 3 (at least I am not the one driving) and drive 4 hours to the Reno-Fernley raceway. I'm in the bay area, and yeah, reno. Driving in the morning. I hope I can sleep some! I need to find my damn checkbook. Fernley is about 25 miles EAST of Reno, too. I am doing a practice day tomorrow, the full day, and then my races on saturday. One slight problem with that, I have been having a huge problem with carbon buildup around my ring, siezing it and prematurely wearing out the engine so I did one race and just cleaned up a shit ton of carbon last night. I may be needing to take my engine apart tomorrow night and HOPE that I'll even have it available/runnable for Saturday when it actually counts. The only reason I am running two days though is that Ive never even been to the track before and I really need the practice time, just hopefully it doesnt come back and bite me in the ass with my crapass carbon. Oil mixture isnt it, gasoline isnt it, carb tune isnt it, I dunno wtf it is really. Perhaps its just because its just running at a constant mid-high range rpm not up and down a lot like in sprint racing that might clean the carbon out easier. Please wish me luck or whatever for saturday and that I'll successfully keep the carbon meanie away just for this race. I'll rebuild the damn engine every couple races if I absolutely have to, but that'd still suck. Anyhow, I need to get some food, and TRY to get some rest. Oh, checkbook, right.
