been working on cars for years, now I'm back in college. don't skip college, if you can afford to go.... FUCKING GO!!!! its not hard to go to school and work if you want to do that. just cant party and have a large social life.
Throughout high school I was planning on going to school for mechanical engineering. My senior year I decided I wanted to do automotive tech. Only took 1 term to realize I didn't want my hobby as my job. Took a term off and went to school for manufacturing after that. Got my associates and started work in the field. 5 years later and I am now wanting to go back to school for engineering.
Moral of the story, stick with school unless you have just started. Even if you don't end up getting an engineering job, you will at least have the degree that you will use one way or another later. Degrees look good on any resume, even if it has nothing to do with the job you are applying for.
