Been Skiing on the East Coast for a whole now, Beech, Cat, Sugar. Been looking to get away from eastern ice to powder for a weekend. Where's the best place to go? Jackson Hole?

there are 6 GOOD resorts less than 1 hour outside of salt lake city. there are 2 more good ones less than two hours away.
however, the snow season here has been pretty miserable so i can't suggest you come here and maintain a good conscience haha

If you get a chance try to get to Big Sky outside of Bozeman. Out of high school I spent a couple seasons working at various resorts and BS was the one place I compare all else to.
If you get a chance to have some avalanche training and have a beacon in advance I recommend it in order to take the Gondola. Not sure how the snow is though.

Besides the east coast, I've only skied Heavenly, Alta, Snowbird and Deer Valley. Been to Alta 3 times and I love the place so much. Alta just feels like home haha. But, I'd suggest trying Bromley in Vermont if you don't want to leave New England. It's the only southern facing mountain in the Northeast (I think) and it feels a little like skiing out west. Beautiful sunny days, and the snow can be great (especially after these storms we're getting)1987 325is Black/Black

Hmmm.....that's a tough choice.( former ski patrol/risk management supervisor, and NS Search and Rescue)
Whistler/Blackcomb is my back yard, and it's awesome, but the number of tourists with more money then ability.....kills it for me, but.......if you really want to ski there go with a local.
I prefer small mountain vibe to huge mountain ego. That said, I like Whitewater the best. It's a small, bowl shaped mountain, in Nelson BC that has great beer, tons of bud(if that's your thing) a laid back town, and phenomenal deep dry powder! The best in the world they say..........I skied there with a snorkel more times then I can remember.Originally posted by codyep3I hope to Christ you have looks going for you, because you sure as fuck don't have any intelligence.

I will have to agree with Ski Up there Big Sky has always been my fav, though I have not been to many other places and have all but given up down hillLast edited by mrsleeve; 01-30-2015, 06:46 PM.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

In the year 2000, I drove my first e30 to Girdwood, AK from Franklin, TN. This is the very best in the gnar-gnar pow-pow brah. One of National Geographics 25 best in the world.
Also, sea level. Bam.
