I'd rather have a FB or FD....
BUT I'd rather have a REPU over all.
Doing what I want with what I got, lol. It was a $500 car.
Mani will be here in 5-7 days. :D
Now I just need to order a carb. I can't wait for this thing to brap brap brap.Leave a comment:

If it was an FB or SA that'd be cool. Never perfered the FC over them.. but they're indefinitely better than some Ford.Leave a comment:

There's a 43k mile 1988 FC for sale here at a local Ford dealer.
They want $8599.....it's on consignment since the dude bought a Ford something or other garbage.Leave a comment:

Well, I ordered the manifold for a Weber 48IDA from Australia. Got a distributor from a 1985 FB with the 13b....just need to make it fit, hits the alternator bracket, and get the wiring done to mimic the FB ignition system. Figure I'll get it to run with that, then get on with the direct ignition coil bullshit.Leave a comment:

BUMMMP what's the latest with your RX7. I can't find yer thread.Ya, I wish someone would make them in a kit car form or something. I feel like it's not produced to the volume as piston engines, in general, and it should have some exception when it comes to emissions. They're cool, but they are a niche engine. I'm just glad Mazda has brought them this far.
I want an REPU still... Nearly 3 years and an E30 addiction after finding their existence. I need an REPU...Leave a comment:

Oh, I'm sure enthusiasts will continue to love them, but I doubt we'll be seeing any new ones. When they are only getting 55% efficiency vs comparable ICE engines, plus the emissions issues, I'd say going forward, it's dead, unless they can find ways around the problems.Leave a comment:

Basically all I got from that is the Wankel is an enthusiast engine that demands the kind of attention only an enthusiast can/will want to give to an engine.
....and emissions suck.Leave a comment:
