I always feel a lot smarter after a 12 pack., but that didnt help on the ACT

Actually, I took the ACT twice - first time - I was well rested, ate a good breakfast. Scored 5 points LOWER than the second time which I took on three hours sleep - hungover like crazy. My Parents went out of town that week with my little brother - my house was the den of iniquity.

Well the rule is, study drunk take the test drunk :) Auctually my worst score was a 19 when I was refreshed. My best one was the one when I ate before the test. I found most of the time I couldnt think of anything because I was so hungry, all I could think about was the loud groans in my stomach.

I took mine about -um- 20 years ago - but no lies.

Quite frankly, I doubt the true value of these tests. I always have done well on standardized tests. I knew people in HS who I felt were smarter than I whose test scores were never near mine.

on the 1600 scale i got a 1230

on the 2400 scale, i got a 1730

never took the sat just the ACT...got a 29 1st time, hung over..Got a 27 the 2nd time, not hungover...go figure:crazy:

I took an assload of those SAT II's too...never did really use the scores for more than one or two apps though.

I'm Canadian but I went to private school so they made all the IB kids (international baccalaureate...like AP but harder) take the SAT's in grade 11. At that point I had decided I was going to Harvard so I took them, I got 1450 but I never got the breakdown of it...it would have been like 0 on the math part, I am a complete failure at numbers...but the writing part would have made up for it. I didn't know ANYTHING about them when I took them, I didn't even know the top score was 1600 until now...I decided I wasn't going to university and started my own company in the time between taking the tests and getting the results.

Best scores were 1290 on SAT & 23 on ACT back in 2001. Absolutely no prep or anything.

27 ACT, got lucky I guess, didn't even know how the test was structured on testday.
