    Forza 5 challenge #3

So since I havent gotten anything from taco but i have from elva I'll make the challenge for forza 5.

    Forza 5

    Track: Nurburgring Nordschleife

    Car: 1977 ford escort rs1800

    Class B588

    Tuning unlimited

    Forza 4

    BMW 3.0CSL Alpina Batmobile Challenge!

I will give you everything you need as far as upgrades/appearance/tuning, the driving is up to you!

    Car: BMW 3.0CSL

    Upgrades:

    Index A568

    Engine: Race everything.

Platform: Race everything, except Sport Chassis Reinforcement.

    Drivetrain: Race everything.

Tires and Rims: Sport tire compound, 225/60R14 front tires, 235/60R14 rear tires, stock wheels

Appearance: BMW Street Front Bumper, BMW Sport Rear Wing, BMW Street Hood

    Tuning:

Tire Pressure: 30psi front and rear

    Gearing: 3.25 final drive

    First: 2.34

    Second: 1.68

    Third: 1.36

    Fourth: 1.15

    Fifth: 1.00

Sixth: N/A (This is strictly a five-speed box, ignore sixth gear.)

Alignment: -2.0º front camber, -0.7º rear camber

    Zero toe front or rear

    6.0º caster

    Anti-roll Bars: 27.40 front, 21.80 rear

Springs: 489.5 front, 473.1 rear, minimum ride height

Damping: 7.6 front rebound, 7.2 rear rebound, 5.9 front bump, 5.6 rear bump

Braking: 60% front brake bias, 100% pressure

Differential: 75% accel and decel lockup

This setup is based off the period 3.0CSL race cars, and much of the info is based off period materials I found, but I guessed a lot (especially with spring rates/damping). I did a couple test laps and the car feels just scary enough to see what it was like for those guys. Speaking of laps....

    Track: Nurburgring Nordschleife

We can leave this up to personal discretion, but to avoid too much hair-pulling I say we allow dirty laps for this challenge; no time penalties or anything. I will only post clean laps, however.

Livery: I spent some (too much?) time last year creating what I think is a very accurate Alpina livery for the car, save the paint color (I went black...) You can download it off the Forza storefront for like 6,000 credits or something. Or get the BMW version in white.

    Good luck everyone, and Godspeed!

    -Mike

Very impressed with that setup. My first time playing in a month, zero assists (not even braking line!) I clocked 9:14.321 clean. (Forza 4)

      Awesome, glad you like it!

By the way, this is what my livery looks like:

Tip toed the first lap with a clean 9:07.819. I can probably drop it 30 seconds. I need to relearn this track again. I used to race it all the time in the Mazda 787b. My all time favorite forza car.

Also, I dont mind dirty laps, but I say let's use the honor system and don't use rewinds.

Wow, I 100% forgot this game had rewinds.

I didn't have the time to put a solid lap in last challenge, fastest was 2:20 B600.
Ill see what I can do on this one.

:( Why? Don't do that! I'll grab another video of my line.

Haha. I do about 8 laps last night and you almost take me out on a standing start lap. Side note, it's quicker to flip it in reverse on the start to make your first lap a flying lap instead of driving all the way around.

Oh, well I am kinda partial to the lower-grip, no-downforce stuff so that may be part of it.

Also, that is a super handy trick! I did that with the lap I videotaped. And you get to do a sweet J-turn off the start line! ;D

Here's a flying lap: (sorry about the overall low quality by the way...)

I can probably do 5 seconds faster but it's very difficult to get all the turns perfect in a lap.
