Those things look tight. I really want one but think I'll hold off until they fix that heat / thermal paste problem.

That's really the only one that I know about.

I used one the other day, seemed pretty quick for a consumer model. Enjoy!

            Heat Problem?

My daughter has a new $2000+ Mac laptop( the intel one). It does seem hot on the front left corner. Is this the thermal paste problem you are referring to. How about warranty claims. Are these overpriced, slick looking, it is a Mac after all turning out to be a little buggy?

I have a MacBook Pro and it is amazing! First Mac I have ever owned.

It runs hot if it is on my couch or lap. It doesn't run hot on my kitchen counter.

The only really significant issue for me is the complete lack of a reliable intel compatible wmv player. I have to use about 4 different players because there isn't a single player that gets all the formats. This is very annoying. I managed to find the flip4mac intel beta on limewire but it lives up to its beta status and crashes all the time.

I would also like a version of Office that took advantage of the new processor.

Otherwise it's an amazing machine and very happy with my purchase.

Those are problems associated with the Macbook Pro.

The only widespread problems with the Macbook that have been reported are some finish flaking and discoloration.
