They were a group of people in the 60's and 70's whom were opposed to the war in Vietnam and were passionate enough about it to actually go out and protest and do something about it. That was the whole point of my remark. You said that liberals who made their own money are non-existant, does this not sound completely idiotic to you? My father has money. He owns 3 houses, 6 cars and has 0 debt. He has been working his ass off since he was a teenager. He also wouldn't be caught dead voting conservative. Just take a look around you man. Hippies exist, but they're 60+ years old. The people running around now wishing to be considered "hippies" are nothing like real hippies. Real hippies were actually politically active. The current bunch doesn't seem to give a shit. I am a musician, and have entertained thousands of faux-hippies. As long as they can take most of their clothes off and stay high, they're happy.:)
