    E32 735i 5 speed value

    Might unload my DD.
    Clean inside and out.
    1987 with m30 b35 engine and getrag 260 tranny 5spd manual.

No mods whatsoever with exception of lowering and staggered 18" Rondell 58's.

    150 miles.

Nothing wrong except a/c needs new r12 and 1 rear window lift.

No idea how to price this...5 speeds are pretty rare.

    Thoughts?

I have receipts from PO...most recent being 2013 full new brakes, starter, and hydraulic components for about 2100.

I just did routine stuff...replaces as needed.
Those wheels are worth some $$

with 5 speed it's a great luxobarg. How old is suspension and is it original? Is it self leveling in the rear?

suspension is OEM but not original. it is not self leveling suspension in the rear (thank god)

those wheels are worth quite a bit of money....

Might want to sell the wheels separately, I don't think you're adding much value by having them on there. Otherwise, these cars, even the 5 speeds, although rare, don't really go for much money. I would bet you could get around $2-2.5k for it, then sell the wheels and tires separately for another $800-1000.

Do you have the room to part it out? As you know, the engine and transmission are worth north of what you paid for the car. The wheels are too. You could remove those two items, run an ad on Craig's for a month or so, then take the rest to a salvage yard. I bet the car without drivetrain would bring almost 400.00 in scrap.

It looks to be in really good shape and it would be a shame to part it out, but I see that as being your best return on investment.

Out of curiosity, you have only had this for a couple months. Why are you thinking of getting rid of it already?

If it was rusted or a basket case i would part it out.

Thing is, this car was legit dealer maintained from 1988 to 2013. The interior is spotless. It's a tight car that's such a smooth highway cruiser. It's also dead reliable, i wouldnt hesitate to take the family on a long road trip with it.

I bought it as a 2nd runabout car with intent to winter drive it.
I can't bring myself to winter drive this thing now that it's grown on me and don't have the room to store it(my e30 takes that space)
So if I can get what I want before winter, great...if not I'll pay for storage
