Cell to Computer sync ?'s

I bought this USB Data Cable from www.insten.com. This thing came with no instructions, a CD and a USB cable. I'm not sure if any of you have this but I'm trying to get it to work on my computer and the shit simply won't. I read everything there is to read and even ventured into the CD, but something is making this shit not work.

Any ideas?

Buy a mini SD card for the phone, and a card reader, Done.
I also have the same phone, and had good luck transfering data over bluetooth but it's super slow. So I just pop the card out, and throw it in the computer.

I used it with my old samsung a650. Free ringtones... wallpaper and whatever. And address/contacts. But you know what, all I ever need my phone for is phone calls.
