    w810i + Verizon?

Hello everyone...curious question. I'm going to hopefully be buying a Sony Ericsson w810i cell phone soon, and I was wondering how you give it the Verizon service. Sorry if that sounds like a complete n00b question...but that's pretty much what it is.

Sounds like a GSM phone so no it aint gonna work cap'n. Best bet is to visit Verizon's website or call them up to verify if whichever phone you're lookin at is gonna work. Verizon is pretty much the only carrier who isn't GSM know AFAIK. They use CDMA technology.

sprint uses cdma, and nextel uses a format similar to gsm (800mhz).

I realize it isn't really worth the money...but it just looks so damn cool. That really blows that it won't work with Verizon. I guess I'm changing my question then...what's the best cell phone in your opinion for Verizon?

True indeed both are CDMA but Verizons phones are limited and pricey by comparison. Verizon is on a diff. frequency of CDMA than Sprint/Nextel.

As to the best phone....read reviews...walk in to the stores try them out, that's the best way to get the best phone for YOU.
