Mainframe, AS400 Job

New job. I am now a Team leader for Mainframe, AS400, Server and APP's Monitoring.

Its a huge step up for me, especially since I do not have any experience in any of the systems. Basically put we have moved these jobs from Sydney to Adelaide because we are about a 3rd of the price.

Fortunately enough I work hard for the right people and have been given this great opportunity.

Wondering if anyone else here, works on mainframe or AS400?

I haven't personally, however I have managed the software acquisition for a variety of the big old iron. Not lots of room for advancement but plenty of job security if you know Cobol or Fortran and take care of legacy programming.
