Roller Coaster of emotions. I thought Abrams would have fucked it but he did a good job. 9 out of 10.

I would put money on Rey being Luke's kid. The whole thing with the light sabers calling to her is a dead giveaway. And her dreams with the ocean and the island. Come on people, she's Luke's.

Favorite part was how all the fighters sounded authentic. Mmmm.

A character like Opress would be awesome. I would see this new star wars just to see ahsoka tano again. Unless in disney's new 'rebels' she dies somewhere...

BOOM. All my friends doubted it, "too cliché" my GF says noooooo she is probably just like Anakin, just strong with the force no family ties.
They look off the charts to me.

as a big star wars fan, i liked it. it was great to see old characters/ships, etc. and didnt seem overly done as just random 'cameos'. (the end seemed like it needed a little tweaking though, like they ran out of time and were like 'yeah, thatll work')

I give it a solid 8/10. Seen it twice now. The film hit all the right notes. My only problem was the now THIRD super weapon. They really need to stop relying on this particular schtick. Outside of that, very well done effort... now to wait a year and a half for Episode VIII. SIGH

That's what I was referring to as well. Sidious/Palpatine hinted at it.

That would be very interesting to see, and would make for a great villain.

Oh I agree, he's not some master sith lord, he's essentially a kid with outbursts of anger and internal struggles. He'll be much darker in the next one for sure, I think we will still see twists with his character later. He may become Darth Revan?

I just want to see an epic bad guy again but we're gonna have to wait till early 2017 at the very least. It's character building, I'm just impatient.
Snoke specifically picked kylo ren because he has this confliction. He wanted someone who was able to become corrupted, and has training in the light side of the force as well. I believe he is going to be extremely powerful in the movies to come, as will Rey and Finn. All of them are young with their training still/havn't even started.

I like Kylo, all the previous darkside leaders have hardly showed any remorse or emotion, apart from vader and only at the end of his life. that's exactly why I like kylo the most thus far, he shows more than just an evil front, shows he doesn't have everything under control. that and his saber/mask combo is the most bad ass set up.

For example - Maul was, but he didn't really talk or be fully utilized - he could have been twice the character he was. Grievous was, but then they made him weak and more of a pawn, as Count Dooku was smart and calculated, but wasn't scary. Snoke is scary and likely who Sidious was talking about to Anakin when he said his master was able to beat death, but I wonder how active he is as he's disfigured/old and we've only seen his hologram sitting.

They said Ben, as in Ben Solo. To confuse things, he was originally Ben Skywalker in the Star Wars universe. Disney gonna Disney.

And anyone can "ignite" a lightsaber, you don't have to be a Jedi. They just turn on with a button or something. Han turns on Luke's saber in Return when he slices open the Tauntaun with it.
I'm aware they are siblings, but I thought I heard her mention luke as Han Solo son. It doesn't make any sense what so ever, It's just one of those weird things I thought I heard. Good call on light saber, I forgot about Solo cutting open the beast.
