      Lol. Poor Oshin.

The car had a custom turbo he did himself in his home garage.

A 5-speed conversion was in the works.

He is now considering an E46 M3.

It's sad, but not that bad, full insurance coverage FTW.

Couldn't they track all of the orders for keys on the particlular cars that have been stripped in the area recently? You may be able to trace this to a dealership or even the exact supplier of the keys.

Looks like a semi-amateur job. Possibly someone that knew the car. Too much good stuff was left on the car including the entire drive train. A pro would have stripped down to the frame and definately would not have left those wheels behind.

No. But the turbo setup didn't cost much.

looks like alotta ppl i knows cars when they get it scammed for insurance...

if it was stolen with a key supplied by the dealer, then u think they would have had alot more connections, IE: a jack, another set of wheels to push the car around on, etc etc...hack job.

                        Unless...

they were gonna buy the car at the salvage auction and have all that stuff stored at their shop.

Does anyone find it amusing that this fella had a new(ish) BMW but had a "home brew" turbo setup that didn't cost much?

Anyways, sucks to see people's property (and sweat equity) stolen and F-ed up. That is not cool.
