    How to: Convert video files?

We've got a Digital Video recorder. When you save the files on the computer, they save as filename.ifo . This works, but I want to save it as a file that can be uploaded to the web. Just looking to convert the file and I don't know how! :)

    Any ideas?

You will have to get a DVD to whatever format you want converter. IFO files are the files that are on DVDs, so instead of ripping a DVD to your hard drive, you will be "ripping" it from you hard drive to your hard drive, essentially, converting it.

There are a few that you can download, but it would be best to find one to buy as most of the downloadable ones aren't that good. Type "DVD to AVI" into Google and a bunch will come up.
