Race video with commentary: Good or not good? (Updated video!)

So one of the comments I got about some previous videos was to replace the written words with spoken ones. To try that out, I've added some brief voiceovers to this race at Sebring in the Cortina. Please take a few minutes to watch and let me know if I'm on the right track or not! Thanks!

The voiceover seems a bit loud relative to the track audio. Initially I thought I didn't like the rear PnP being basically in car instead of in a corner, but it's actually a good place that offers clear views otherwise.

To answer your question, no, you're not on the right track, as that would be Watkins Glen. ;)

Yeah, listening to it again I see what you mean. And I'd love to try the Glen again sometime! Maybe one of these years...

Voice over is a bit loud but you'll find a good mix over time. I liked the dialogue. Your calm tone contrasts well with the harsh sound of the car's interior.

Crazy how that one missed gear messed you up for so long

it's a Kenny Powers quote on wheels

Yeah, I'd never tried a first-second shift before and apparently needed the muscle memory....The Cortina was really between gears there, so being low in second hurt quite a bit. It's a lot of car for that little twin cam to pull around. Thanks for the input!

I'm a fan of the commentary. Your voice and the racing reminds me so much of this film i used to watch as a kid called "Hay bails and Asphalt". It was just footage of old cars racing with occasionally witty commentary. So to you sir

So after input from a few sources, it sounds like people would actually appreciate a bit more info about what's going on around me and what I was thinking in the car? Do you guys agree? I think I'll re-record this and update the voiceovers accordingly.

Since we leave for Sebring this morning, it seemed like as good a time as any to share the updated version of my video! Thanks to your input I had a few ideas about what to change. I've added info about the driver, track, and car featured in the video; I added a short plug for the shop at the beginning with a link; and I re-recorded all the voiceover clips as well as adding a few. Please let me know what you think! I've left both versions of the video up for now as a point of comparison.
