okay i ended up picking up a Xperia z2 i got for $150 factory refurbished. it has pretty much the same hardware as the Z3 so no point in spending the extra $70 or so dollars for it. thanks for reminding me of the sony phones!

Ok, then how about Apples planned obsolescence with seemingly every device post 2010?

Just as true of every other manufacturer in the smartphone space.

I skip iOS device generations. Went from 1 to 3GS to 4S to 6+. Means the device gets sometimes annoyingly slow at the end of that 2-year life cycle, but from what I've seen, most people upgrade more often than I do.
