I tend to enjoy the darker stuff. Stouts and porters are my go to. And then I'll also do some red ales and the like. I could drink Guinness all night. I also don't understand why everyone loves IPAs. I can't stand them. But that's why you have to figure out what you like. I can also enjoy PBRs on the regular for something cheap. Corona is awful. When I first turned 21, I loved Newcastles. It was just something so much better than the usually college stuff I was used to.

Havent had many but their "Pumking" is hands down the best pumpkin beer a person can buy.

My advice to OP, go to different breweries or taphouses and buy flights of everything. Youll find what suits you easy enough.

I prefer liquor to beer, but that's just me. Stolichnaya vodka is generally my go to.

Fair warning you are going to hate alcohol the first 3 times you try it. Especially beer that isnt easy to drink.

If you want to get into IPA's my current favorite is Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter, its a lot less bitter then other IPA's.

    Pretty much sums them up

Speaking of local brews, I've been wanting to try Treehouse Julius IPA. My bud and I are going up to the brewery this weekend to grab a few cans

^ Most of the things I've had from Boulevard are good. I have some of their ginger lemon radler in my beer fridge now.

The best brewery in America right now is Southern Tier.

My Summer go to this year has been Landshark. It's not terrible.

Most of the shit I like is all local brews though....but when I'm drinking to drink I don't like to blow through $12/6pack shit.

You really just gotta experiment. Usually I try to try things at various tap houses, etc instead of buying 6+ of something IDK if I'm going to like.

Can't go wrong with Newcastle Brown either....as far as supermarket bullshit beers.

Yea that's why it's hard to give advice until you know the kinds of beer you like.

I can't stand any wheat ale, used to like it but now I can't stand it.

Also, the cheap mainstream shit has it's place IMO. If I'm having a bunch of people over, they get bud/Miller/Coors, whatever. Only my closest friends get into my stash. But, I have no issue drinking a Miller light from time to time, kind of nostalgic.

I pretty much exclusively drink Four Peaks Kilt Lifter. It's a local but I'd imagine you can find it since Four Peaks was (sadly) recently picked up by Anheuser-Busch. 6% ABV Scottish style ale.
