Question on car laws in Japan. Canonly own a car with less than??
Yeah, the older cars are cheap as hell because of that. People don't feel like going through the hassle of JCI'ing their car, so they just junk it, or sell it. It's a paradise for hack mechanics. The only place I know where you can either spend $5000 and get a semi nice Skyline, or just get 2 cars with a brand new JCI on them.
Can't wait to go back.
p.s. BMW's weren't very popular in Okinawa, I didn't see them much on the mainland either, but I imagine there's a pretty good market for them.
are you kidding? I was a member of BMW Car Club of Japan and we always had meets in Naha, and Maeda Point. At least 15 E30 M3s always got together.
Well, I was there for 3 years, and honestly hardly ever saw a BMW. Didn't say it wasn't possible, though. Sorry for my ignorance.
p.s. I miss Maeda point. Good diving there. :(
