Totally did this yesterday under the pretense of "teaching her to drive the M3."

I was into pokemon when it came out, and then got back into it later. The game boy games have gotten much more complicated and there's a lot you can do. People have made their own computer-based versions of some of these. My favorite by far was Pokemon Reborn. I haven't had the time lately to devote to an RPG like Pokemon, so I haven't downloaded the game.

I took my wife and kids to a park for a picnic yesterday. Saw at least two dozen teens and a handful of couples with their phones out. One couple had a baby in a stroller running around with their phones out.

It is an interesting thing to see bedroom dwellers outside of their natural habitat. Gives me hope.

My lazy ass friends went on a walk, for the first time, to play this game. As long as these people don't join the "dying/killing while taking a selfie" crowd, we should be good!

Red version OG in the haus.

I think it's great in the fact that its getting people to get out and be active, but like so many other things inherit in our human nature/lack of common sense, it shows signs of heavy abuse/irresponsibility/danger in many areas, constantly staring at your phone, playing while driving, wondering into the wrong neighborhood etc

Its a great idea, but I feel it will soon have heavy regulations, banned in certain areas, over use of advertising in the app, boredom and what not that will inevitably kill it

And it was the original Red on the OG gameboy I had, also played the stadium and Snap game on N64 too

The local parks are so packed in northern Virginia. I went to a battlefield site and everyone was walking around with their phones up.

I was into the original 151, back when it was just red and blue versions for Gameboy. I will say that anything past that was a sore attempt for the brand to try and draw out something that already had its fame. I had the cards too, which were pretty much collection only and I never took the time to learn the actual game. Funny enough, I had the Gameboy version of the trading card game. Makes sense for someone to come up with a video game of the card game of the video game and cartoon series, right? Anyways, I had no interest once they started to go past the original bunch and by that time I was already playing the shit out of Gran Turismo and took a big interest in cars. At least it is getting people off their asses and going outside, even if it somewhat still attached to their smartphones.
